As southeast Iowa reaches the midway point of this winter it is important to keep your winter machines well maintained. Snowblowers need to be started frequently for them to run well. Jim Cluney of J&D Small Engine Repair tells KCII News, the most common problem he sees is people leaving gas in their machines year after year which can lead to carburetor issues. The easiest way to prevent this is to run the machine regularly.

Cluney says the most common breakdowns they see this time of year outside of snowblowers is with leafblowers as some people use those to clear light snow. For more from Cluney listen to today’s In Touch with Southeast Iowa.
