Nearly 1,700 meals were served at this year’s Washington Fire Department pancake fundraiser. Joe Redlinger, with the department, tells KCII News they had about 1,700 meals served between lunch and dinner, with an increase this year in the take-out line. He added this is more than they served last year, and towards the end of the night he wondered if they were going to run out of supplies. There were 4,500 eggs and 92 gallons of milk on hand for the event. Each person received eggs, pancakes and sausage patties. Redlinger shares thanks to those who attended and those who donated for the fundraiser to help raise money for the fire department.
