Christmas trees in Washington can now be disposed of. The City of Washington’s annual tree drop off in Central Park is now available to residents who have live trees to throw away. The area to discard trees is in the southeast corner of the park. Also, residents can throw trees out to the curb beginning Friday. City staff will begin picking up trees January 1st on street corners in town that do not have a fire hydrant.

Also, the Waste Water Treatment Plant will accept trees. Residents are reminded to clean any metal and decorations off before discarding them.
