A pair of juniors led the charge for the Columbus Wildcat girls’ basketball team (4-4 overall) during the first half of this season. Eight games into their schedule, Shaina Boyd and Bailey Stroud have combined to score over 160 points.

Boyd holds a slight edge as the Wildcats’ leading scorer, recording 133 points, while Stroud has chipped in 128. No one else on Columbus girls’ basketball team has posted more than 35 points.

The duo of 2017 graduates are among the best defenders on the Wildcats’ squad as well. Stroud has forced 31 turnovers, while Boyd has produced 25 steals.

Columbus ended the calendar year with a 4-4 overall record. The Wildcats return to the hardwood Tuesday, January 5, hosting the Mediapolis Bullettes (4-2 overall) in SEISC North action.
