Washington graduate Tommy Peterson (No. 71) lines up along the Iowa Western Community College offensive line last Sunday

The freshman college football campaign of recent Washington graduate Tommy Peterson came to an end last weekend in Cedar Falls. The #5 ranked Iowa Western Community College Reivers (10-2) capped off their season with a 20-6 victory over the #17 Georgia Military Bulldogs (8-4 overall) last Sunday  in the 2015 Graphic Edge Bowl. The win was the 10th straight for the Reivers after beginning the season 0-2.

Thirteen of IWCC’s 20 points came in the first half, building a 20-0 lead in the third quarter. The Bulldog’s lone score of the game came with 1:55 left in the game, a 41 yard punt return for a touchdown, bringing the final score to 20-6.

Peterson worked his way into the starting lineup versus Garden City October 3, and started the final seven games at left tackle. His efforts in the second half of the season helped Peterson earn honorable mention recognition from the coaches of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Peterson has one more year of eligibility left with Iowa Western Community College.
