Following their performance Thursday night at Winfield-Mt. Union in the opening pool play round of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference volleyball tournament the WACO Warriors advanced to play in the consolation rounds of the tournament Saturday in Lone Tree.

The Warriors won their first match of the day, besting the Columbus Wildcats in three games 21-14, 15-21 and 15-12. WACO was led in the match by Mayme Hinh with six kills, Halle Kissel with 14 assists and Cierra McArtor, Libby Skriver and McKenna White all finished with four digs.

In their second round match the Warriors fell to the Lone Tree Lady Lions in three games 21-19, 14-21 and 13-15. In the match the Warriors were led by Mayme Hihn with seven kills, Halle Kissel with 13 assists and Cierra McArtor and McKenna White with a dozen digs apiece.

WACO wrapped up their Saturday in Lone Tree with a loss to the Wapello Arrows in straight sets, 13-21 and 20-22. In the match WACO was led by Molly Edgar with four kills, Halle Kissel with 10 assists and McKenna White with six digs. After their 1-2 record on Saturday WACO stands at 5-13 on the year, they will next be in action Tuesday night when they travel to Columbus Junction.
