In 2014, Iowa corn growers produced the third largest crop on record with 2.37 billion bushels. Washington County averaged 191.3 bushels per acre, while the state’s average per acre was 178 bushels. Jefferson County had the highest average with 200.9 bushels per acre.

Iowa’s soybean production last year was also the third largest crop on record with 506 million bushels. Washington County averaged 54.5 bushels per acre, above the state average of 51.5 bushels per acre.
