For a second straight game, the Washington Demon boys’ basketball team let a slim third quarter lead slip in the final eight minutes. As heard on FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com, the Demons made the trip to Mount Pleasant High School for a Southeast Conference showdown with the Panthers.

Washington, which led 42-41 after the 3rd quarter, was outscored 22-13 in the final quarter to fall 63-55 to the Panthers. Senior Gage Redlinger had a career-high 22 points to lead Washington in the setback. Washington held a 17-11 lead after the first quarter, and a 28-23 advantage at halftime.

Freshman Brady Sartroius had a game-high 23 points to help lead the Panthers to victory. The win improves Mount Pleasant’s overall record to 7-13.

The setback was the seventh straight loss for the Washington Demons, whose overall record stands at 5-13 overall. The Demons return to the court Monday evening in their final Southeast Conference game of the season against the Fairfield Trojans.
