Washington’s superintendent next school year will be Jeff Dicks. Current Washington Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen previously mentored him. Jorgensen describes him as being forward-thinking in technology, as his district was the first in the state to go 1:1. He has also presented at several conferences and has taught finance classes for superintendents.

Dicks is currently in his eighth year as superintendent for the Newell-Fonda School District and is a shared superintendent with the Albert City-Truesdale Community School District, previously he served as a high school principal and basketball coach.

He will begin his position with the Washington Community School District on July 1st.
