Here is a look at the KCII area sports schedule for Tuesday, September 30th.

Volleyball

Washington (3-16) @ Mount Pleasant (12-11)

Longtime Southeast Conference rivals will collide this evening as the Washington Demons will travel to Mount Pleasant to face the Panthers. This past weekend, the Demons competed in the Hawks Tourney in Wellman and finished in sixth place overall. For the Panthers, they competed this past weekend at the Burlington Tournament, finishing with a record of  2-2.

WACO (8-11) vs Columbus Community (8-9)

It’s a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division showdown as the Columbus Community Wildcats will travel to Wayland to take on the WACO Warriors. WACO comes into the match looking to get back on the winning track after losing their only match Saturday in the conference’s consolation bracket. Columbus will also be looking to get back on the winning side of things tonight as they have been on the losing end of their previous two matches.

Iowa Mennonite School (4-19) vs Lone Tree (6-13)

Southeast Iowa Super Conference foes battle this evening in Lone Tree as the Lions will host the Iowa Mennonite School. Both schools picked up multiple wins last week in the conference’s volleyball tournament. Lone Tree is playing much better as of late, winning three of their last four matches. IMS snapped their 12-match losing streak on Thursday against Harmony, and defeated Columbus in straight sets Saturday in the SEISC consolation bracket.

Highland (12-7) vs Winfield-Mount Union (15-7)

Two winning Southeast Iowa Super Conference rivals will face off in Winfield this evening as the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves will host the Highland Huskies. Last night, the Huskies got back on the winning track by beating the Wapello Arrows in five sets. For the Wolves, they finished in third place in the conference tournament’s championship bracket on Saturday by defeating the West Burlington Falcons in straight sets.
