Seven classic cars cruised to the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center yesterday afternoon. Members of the Corn Country Cruisers brought over the cars for automotive students to observe and study. The cars on site include a ’58 Impala owned by Mike Williams, a 1940 Chevy hot rod owned by Phil Ealy, a 1983 Avanti owned by Jim Peterson, a 1950 Chevy pickup owned by Mike McCandless, a Superformance MKIII Shelby Cobra replica owned by Steve Sanders and a 1957 Ford Skyliner with retractable hard top owned by Owen White.

Also, Pat Tobin brought a car handmade by Carlton Bump who was an art teacher in the area for 35 years. It took Bump 4,070 hours to build the car and he finished in around 1966. The car club provides a $500 donation to the Kirkwood scholarship fund and a $500 scholarship to an automotive student annually.
