WASHINGTON- The Washington Demon volleyball team will look to end their current losing streak tonight against another struggling team from the region. The Demons will welcome the Mid Prairie-Wellman Lady Hawks to town for a match this evening at Washington High School. The Demons come into the match 2-9, including a four match losing streak. Last time out, the Demons found themselves trailing after the first game, and ultimately lost a 5 set match to the Keokuk Chiefs on Tuesday evening. Head coach Julliana Berg says Wednesday’s practice was used to focus on themselves, rather than spending a ton of time scouting the Lady Hawks.

“Don’t worry so much about what the other teams are doing.” Berg said, “Focus on what we are doing and what we are doing well and lets really capitalize on those things. We can go back and look at stats and talk about what they did last year but other than that it’s mostly just us.”

The Lady Hawks bring in a record of 3-8, and have been on the losing end in their last seven matches. Matches between the school’s 9th grade and JV teams will begin at 5:45, with varsity set to begin their match at 7:30 at Washington’s Gymnasium.
