The Washington Demon baseball team takes on Benton tonight in a possible preview of a sub-state match.

The Demons had a big offensive night against Highland on Wednesday, winning 11-1, and look to continue that in their games tonight.

The Demons are 9-8 entering this game, with their top three bats still Walker Breard, Tanner Knupp and Jacob Green. Elijah Wood should see some action tonight with his .72 ERA and 27 strikeouts on the season, and Zach Londberg will probably see game two and test this 3-0 record.

Benton is 7-14 this season, and has three big bats to worry about. T.J. Morris with a .484 average, Al Jones with a .429 average and Kaleb Rabe with a .333 average, outside of those three bats, Benton drops significantly. On the mound, Brandon Lewis and Brady Kraus are the top arms with 2-1 records, ERA’s just over 3.6 and 15 strikeouts each.

Tonight’s game is at Benton with game one at 5:30 and the second game to follow.
