Two Republicans and two Democrats are vying for their party’s nomination in the June 3rd primary for Washington County District 3 Supervisors. The Farm Bureau held a forum for the candidates recently in which Republicans Abe Miller and Scott Davis, as well as Democrats Keith Cutkomp and Ceanne Alvine presented opening remarks and answered questions both from the public and from the farm board.

When asked what the biggest issues facing the county in the next four years there was a variety of answers. Miller stated roads and funding sources as well as finding a building for Public Health; Davis said economic growth and promoting business, Alvine stated economic growth near Riverside on the 218 corridor and in Brighton near Lake Darling and Cutkomp said economics, funding and land use. Prior to the supervisors forum, the bureau hosted a county attorney’s forum.
