The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout is tomorrow. The American Cancer Society’s annual event encourages smokers to make a plan to quit or to quit using tobacco the third Thursday of November. The Iowa Department of Public Health is reminding Iowans who need help quitting smoking or using tobacco that Quitline Iowa has expanded offers for nicotine replacement therapy. Those who enroll are eligible for eight weeks of free replacement therapy with either patches, gum or lozenges.
