In a game that if WACO won they were the No. 2 seed and got a home game, they came ready to play.

The Warriors beat Highland 45-27 in a must win for Highland to make the playoffs.

WACO put a lot of points up early on the Huskies, starting out with a Bryce Achen 80 yard run just 14 seconds into the first quarter. Then Isaac Black caught a 23 yard touchdown pass from Braden Blake to make it 13-0 as they made the PAT. Cey Saeugling got in on the scoring in the first quarter as well, scoring on a 15 yard run to make it 20-0 after one.

The second quarter was more of the same with Saeugling scoring from nine yards out, Dylan Carlson scoring from seven yards out and then Saeugling pulling down a three yard touchdown pass from Blake to make it 39-0 at half.

Highland pulled out everything they could in the second half, as WACO scored first on a 22 yard run by Tucker Janecek to put the final score up for WACO and make it 45-0.

Highland tried to push back, scoring on a fumble recovery late in the third quarter by Lane Welsh to make it 45-6. The Huskies then scored on a 37 yard Bryan Garcia run, a Nick Sanburg 33 yard run and a Garcia 17 yard run to make the final 45-27, but it was too late.

WACO took the win moving them to the two seed in the playoffs, and pushing Highland out of the playoffs.

WACO takes on Lynnville-Sully at home on Wednesday for the first round of the playoffs.
