Veterans health services should operate normally through this partial government shutdown. According to Valerie Buckingham with Iowa City VA Health Care System, veterans hospitals and clinics across the country will remain open. She says a two year budget is used for their funding. The last budget approved was for fiscal year’s 2013 and 2014. Fiscal Year 2014 began yesterday.
