The area’s heat advisory is now in its sixth day. The high temperature each day this week has been above 90 degrees. With the hot temperatures, hydration is improtant says Danielle Pettit-Majewski, Washington County Public Health Director.  She recommends avoiding alcoholic beverages and that those outdoors should drink 16 to 32 ounces of water per hour.

In addition, Pettit-Majewski recommends a sunscreen cream with an SPF between 15 and 50 that is broad-spectrum sunblock.
