The WACO volleyball team took third place overall at their home tournament last night.

The Warriors won their first match against Harmony 21-15 and 21-8, they lost to the eventual champions Iowa Valley 21-7 and 21-18, and won their final match against MSAE 21-6 and 21-15.

WACO met Pekin in the third place game, and beat them 25-12 and 25-23.

Iowa Valley was first and Wapello took second.

Columbus Junction was also at the tournament and lost both of their matches, going three sets with Wapello, losing the first one 22-20, winning the second one 21-19 and then dropping the final set 15-9. The Wildcats lost to Pekin as well 21-7 and 21-16.

WACO is 3-1 to start the season, while Columbus falls to 0-2.
