The Winfield- Mt. Union Baseball team grabbed a second team all-conference spot as well as two honorable mentions.

Darren Hunter was selected for second team all-conference at utility. Hunter hit .372 in the conference, with seven RBI’s and five doubles.

WMU head coach Kenton Klopfenstein said Hunter’s freshmen season was a good one.

“As a freshmen he had a very solid season for us, batting average wise, he drove in a fair amount of runs for us, hitting out of the three spot,” Klopfenstein said.

Honorable mentions for WMU are Lucas Rappenecker and Kolt Rossiter.

WMU finished 5-11 in the conference.
