A festival that’s been held annually for more than 150 years in Louisa County returns tonight. Chief  Wapello Days starts at 5:30 with a kickoff event, and continues through Sunday. According to Val Vineyard, with the organizing committee, one event that’s been a staple for the last 20 years is the rodeo, which is being held tomorrow and Saturday night.

Vineyard adds the celebration is financed by fundraisers, proceeds from a cookbook that was released a few years back, and the street dance on Saturday night.
