Only a week remains until this year’s festivities in Kalona. Kalona Days is being held next Friday and Saturday. Grace Schumann, head of the organizing committee, says this year there are two new events on Saturday; a car show from 11 to 4 and a dog show at 2. Categories for the dog show include best dressed, oldest and smallest. She says for the car show they’re looking for antique cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors.
