At last night’s regular session meeting of the Washington City Council, the council heard a presentation from Fox Engineering about the Washington water system. The firm estimated the total project would cost $11.3 million for the six projects over a 5 year plan. The high priority project would be to replace the ground storage reservoir for $1.4 million; the current reservoir has multiple cracks, corrosion and is nearly 100 years old. The firm suggests implementing a reverse osmosis system or an electro-dialysis reversal system.
