Iowa’s unemployment rate remained at 5-percent from the month of January to February. Washington County’s unemployment rate dropped during the same time period from 5.6-percent to 5.3 percent. In the county in January, 700 people were unemployed while in February only 600 were unemployed.

Keokuk County’s unemployment rate remained the same at 7-percent while Louisa County’s rate dropped half a percentage from 6.8-percent to 6.3-percent. Henry County’s unemployment rate fell nearly 1-percent from 7.5 to 6.6. These statistics are seasonally adjusted and are provided by Iowa Workforce Development.
