Residents of Keota are invited to attend the second meeting of a new committee focused on improving the community. Through the Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program, the city will receive guidance and professional help in developing a community improvement plan. They’ll receive help from the Iowa DOT, Iowa State University and Trees Forever.

According to Melinda Eakins with the committee, tonight’s meeting will include preparation for the community assessment.

At the first meeting earlier this month, where residents were asked to share ideas, suggestions included bringing the Kewash Trail further in to town, making improvements to the park and creating small trails within the city.
