Warm air being pulled from the south is to thank for the record breaking temperatures yesterday. National Weather Service Meteorologist Tim Gross says that by 7 in the morning yesterday Washington had already tied and broken the record of 58 degrees set in 1917.  The warm weather didn’t stick around long, with a strong cold front from the northwest dropping temps throughout the day. Leading up to a winter storm that prompted a warning that began at 10 last night.
