With the first week of the 2013 session coming to a close, a state senator looks ahead to what’s to come. Iowa State Senator for District 45, Sandy Greiner, says she’s concerned with the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy that’s been proposed. Mostly with how it will be paid for, which she’ll be able to oversee as a member of the Ag and Natural Resources Appropriation Subcommittee when budgets are put together for the Department of Agriculture and Department of Natural Resources.

Greiner says the legislation will probably go through the Natural Resources and Environment Committee, which she’s the ranking member of, giving her a ‘ringside seat’ as it moves through the Senate chambers. Greiner will be one of the representatives at tomorrows Legislative Breifing.
