Livestock producers, and especially hog producers can attend an upcoming program at Washington County Extension Office to hear details of current market conditions and management information. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach along with Iowa Farm Bureau will present the program titled Managing through Stress: A Livestock Information Event.

The program is one of 14 such offerings across the state.  The morning sessions will include feed price outlook, weather outlook, and financial strategies.  Afternoon sessions vary by location.  At the Washington County program, swine will be the focus.  Guest field specialists and economists will be at the meeting to offer advice and information.

A psychologist will also discuss the effects of stress on the human body.  The program is is free.  It’s Monday, February 4.
