The IMS boy’s basketball team carried a 7-1 record into the break off of 590 points for the first half of the season.

IMS is shooting over 50 percent from the field ranking fourth in the state of Iowa, their 73.8 points per game also rank them fifth in that category for the state of Iowa, just one behind the only team that has beat them thus far Lone Tree.

Dallas Nye leads the way for IMS with 143 points, while Cameron Gingerich is close behind with 131 and Peyton Thompson has 117.

Head coach Dwight Gingerich said his team will be busy with a scrimmage this week, and two games on Friday and Saturday. He also said that coming back from the break he thought his team looked pretty good.

“We’ve got some things to get ready for, I think the guys in the first few days back, I mean the first day back is always tough, since the guys were out doing things and eating and what not, but I thought that day two was a little bit better,” Gingerich said.

IMS plays L-M on Friday and then Mediapolis on Saturday.
