The Columbus Junction girl’s basketball team had a rough start to the first half of their season, but caught on winning three in a row to close it out, after losing five in a row prior.

The Wildcats have 361 points at the break, and are shooting 32 percent.

They are led by Megan Pretz with 96 points, and 110 rebounds.

Columbus Junction head coach Nate Carlson said after a week, he just wants to get the girls back out playing.

“With a week off, that will lose some conditioning, so we’ll do some conditioning things, but mainly we want to get that basketball back in their hands,” Carlson said. “Hopefully we didn’t lose anything during this week break, and if we did we’ll get to it, and then we’ll watch some film, there is still a bunch of things that we need to clean up.”
