If you are given the gift of a new computer this year, or if you otherwise just want to get rid of an old computer, Goodwill is accepting donations of computers—whether they are in working condition or not.

The computers can be dropped off at any Goodwill store and they will either be refurbished to be used again or the components will be recycled in other ways.  A Goodwill spokesperson says that the company also goes through a process to wipe out any information that might still be on hard drives.
