Mid-Prairie and Keota Schools sharing agreement will continue for another year. Now in its fourth year, the sharing of Superintendent Mark Schneider was discussed at a joint evaluation meeting in November. Both sides agreed to continue it for another year, despite the fact that state funding incentives for sharing positions between districts has ended.

Mid-Prairie approved the agreement at their regular board meeting earlier this week and Keota will decide at their board meeting tentatively set for January 2nd.

Schneider adds this decision shows the school board’s agree that this is more about raising the quality of education, rather than about finances.
