A Washington church has a tradition of serving meals on Christmas Day to people that might not otherwise have such a meal—they are doing it again this year.  Jessica Farrier is a member of the Church of God and has been involved in the Christmas Day event in the past, she says that the atmosphere is friendly.

The women of the church do most of the cooking.  They’ve served from 50 to 70 people in year’s past.  Reservations for carryout meals can be made by calling the church. It’s at south avenue D and the highway.
