Meteorologists are forecasting heavy snowfall and blizzard like conditions for this evening through tomorrow. A blizzard warning begins at 6pm this evening in preparation for a storm system that’s coming out of the Rocky’s and is expected to bring 5 to 15 inches of snow.

According to Weathereye Meteorologist, Greg Tatro, rain this late afternoon will turn to snow, with the heaviest bands to pass through our area after midnight and to continue into the morning accompanied by strong wind.

Tatro adds our next chance for winter weather won’t be until after Christmas.
