The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is planning to work out an agreement with Riverside Casino’s gaming agent. County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar says he’ll be meeting with the new Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) head agent to work out who will take care of incidents that arise.

An agreement with a previous agent had them staying until 3am. Currently county deputies are handling most incidents that occur in the evening.

DCI Assistant Director in charge of the Gaming Operations Bureau Dave Button tells KCII News that in addition to monitoring the casino and providing criminal enforcement, agents also perform background checks on employees, whether they’re working on the floor or working in the kitchen. He says their main purpose is to ensure the integrity of gaming. He adds they’re agents are typically on location from 20 to 24 hours a day.
