After a mostly calm and mild fall in southeast Iowa, this weekend could prove to be the first dose of winter weather. The National Weather Service shows freezing rain and then snow are possible Sunday.

Further north, the Dakotas and Minnesota could get some heavier snow and accumulation possible this weekend.

Over the last couple days, drizzle and light rain in Washington have narrowly missed becoming snow with temps in the upper 30s.  Next week, for the work week it looks cool, but relatively dry.
