The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed recent litigation in a closed door hearing following their meeting today. During their regular meeting the Board briefly discussed formal results of Richmond wastewater discharge sampling submitted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

The results were the same that representatives from the DNR presented at a Board meeting about a month ago. At the meeting, District 1 Supervisor, Jim Miksch said that judging by the information submitted, the DNR feels the problem isn’t going away.

A closed session was held afterwards to discuss a lawsuit that has been filed against the Board by Residents for a Better Richmond.
