A partial road closure in Washington County begins today for a maintenance patch. According to Washington County Engineer, Jacob Thorius, the stretch of G26 from Elm Avenue to Fir Avenue will be closed for about one week, depending on the weather. He says the stretch of road had deteriorated to the point it needed replacing. Today they’ll start tearing out the pavement and tomorrow they should start pouring the concrete. He adds after they let it cure for a couple of days, it should be open for use by Friday.
