Starting Monday construction will begin on a county road.  County Engineer Jacob Thorius says the work on 105th Street from Gingko Avenue to Larch Avenue will cause the road to be closed to thru traffic.  The work will restore the road cross section and improve ditches and drainage.

Thorius notes this construction is a part of the county’s commitment to improving the conditions of the County’s road system through the County’s comprehensive road improvement project.

The project awarded in June to Cornerstone Excavating in Washington should be completed within four months, weather permitting.  Anyone with questions can contact the County Engineers Office at (319)653-7731.
