Iowa’s Secretary of State visited Washington yesterday to talk about a new program.  Secretary Matt Schultz says the “Vote in Honor of a Veteran” program was designed to honor the sacrifices that veterans have made throughout history to protect our freedoms and our right to vote.  Iowans who choose to honor a veteran will receive a special lapel pin to be worn on Election Day in November.

Secretary Schultz says he came to Washington to increase the awareness and participation in the program along with provide information on how technology will make voting easier for men and women serving overseas in the upcoming election cycle.  To find out more information about the “Vote in Honor of a Veteran” program, follow this link.
