With Washington’s Relay for Life coming up, the organizing committee wants to increase awareness of the event by Painting the Town Purple.  Joni McArtor with Washington County Relay for Life says they are encouraging everyone to display purple whether it be at home or the office.  She says this will be to show support for the Relay event as well as those who are currently dealing with cancer.

This display will also be to support individuals and families who have lost someone to the disease.  This will lead up to the 23rd Relay For Life happening on the square in Washington.
