The Washington Demon girls track team finished first in Mediapolis yesterday with 105 points, edging out the hosts by six.  Columbus Community finished in third with 94 points while WACO finished seventh.

The Iowa Mennonite girls track team opened their outdoor season at Mediapolis and Michaela Prihoda led the way by placing third in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet 2.5 inches.  Prihoda also placed seventh in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.86.  The sprint medley relay team of Prihoda, Abbie DeWild, Camila Segar and Riley Schmeider placed ninth.

The Demon boys’ track team traveled to Mt. Pleasant yesterday and while there were no team scores being kept, the boys finished 2nd in three events.  Kyle Roder, Jordan Kay, Matt Kuntz, and Noah Lebsack combined for the 2nd-place finish in the 1600 medley.  The shuttle hurdle team of Jacob Hennigan, Armando Machavino, Colin Steele, and Mavrick Goodwin finished in second as well.  The 4×100 team of Jake Redlinger, Parker Turner, Alex Coker, and Carl Silvis finished in the second spot before Coker was held out the rest of the night with a pulled hip flexor.
