A man from rural Riverside has entered a guilty plea in court yesterday.  Washington County Attorney Larry Brock says the plea was entered on behalf of 38 year old Jason John Bex to the crimes of Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse causing bodily injury which is a Class D felony and two counts of Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated Misdemeanor.

Bex will have to serve five years in jail for the felony and two years each for the Misdemeanor charges.  Bex will be required to successfully complete a Sex Offender Treatment Program, register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and will be on parole for ten years.

Those assisting in the case were the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Luke’s Hospital Child Protection Center, the Mississippi Valley Child Protection Center and the victims and their families.
