The All Sub-State teams in boys’ basketball have been announced along with each classes Player of the Year with several area players garnering postseason honors.

Washington Demon senior Colin Steele joins three others from the Southeast Conference named to the class 3A All Sub-State 6 team.  Dimitrie Galbreath of Keokuk, who eliminated the Demons from postseason play, was honored as well as two players from state champion Mount Pleasant.  Panther senior Nick Lyon, who was named to the all-tournament team as well after finishing a rebound shy of averaging a double-double in the state tournament, was one of seven players to make the team along with class 3A Player of the Year Jordan Ashton who was also named captain of the All-Tournament team after scoring 18.7 points per game during the title run.

Class 1A All Sub-State 6 members include Lone Tree’s Bryan Forbes along with Chance Miller and Brian Hagedorn of IMS.  All Sub-State 7 members Casey Sieren of Keota and Clayton Robinson of Winfield-Mt. Union received postseason honors as well.

North Carolina commit and current Linn-Mar standout Marcus Paige was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Iowa.
