A large crowd was in attendance at last night’s council meeting in Riverside to address a hot topic. The controversy stems over a proposed splash pad project.  During the February 6th City Council meeting, a resolution was passed 3-2 to establish a bid letting date for this project.  According to Missy Carter, City Clerk in Riverside, that resolution was vetoed by Mayor Bill Poch March 14th.

During last night’s meeting, those in attendance expressed their concerns to the council members who were in favor of and who were against this project.  Carter says it’s unclear the future of the project at this time.  KCII will monitor this story and bring you more information as it becomes official.
