After ending the Washington girls’ season on Saturday, the Keokuk boys did the same Monday with a 67-54 win.

Washington (13-9) started the game on a 6-0 run but the Chiefs (13-8) answered with a 10-0 run to take the lead after the first quarter and would not trail again.  Washington put together a run in the fourth to close the gap to nine points but the comeback effort would fall short.

Three Chiefs posted double-digit scoring totals with Dimitre Galbreath pitching in a game-high 21 points; the Demons had two score in double figures.  Brock Kimball finished with 16 points and Colin Steele led the way with 19 before fouling out to a standing ovation to end his career for the Demons.

Third-ranked Mount Pleasant won their matchup with Fort Madison 58-26 and will square off against Keokuk Thursday at Fairfield with the winner facing either Centerville or Oskaloosa.
