Class 1A and 2A girls’ basketball state pairings have been released following the regional final games last night and the top two teams in the South Iowa Cedar League made the cut. In class 1A, top-ranked North Mahaska posted a dominating win over Prince of Peace 67-31 to win region five and will be matched up with North Tama.  #4 Lynnville-Sully emerged from region five with a 64-51 win over SEISC-South’s Burlington Notre Dame and will see West Sioux in the first round at Wells Fargo Arena on Monday.

Bellevue knocked off SEISC-South opponent Central Lee 68-56 to remain perfect this season and win region four in class 2A to advance to play IKM-Manning in the opening round at the state tournament.  Pella Christian topped Monticello 52-46 to win region five and will face unbeaten West Hancock.
