The Salvation Army bell ringing campaign for this year was successful during the holiday season. Volunteer Coordinator Ron Bennett says they had a goal they were trying to raise of ten thousand dollars. He says they had reached that goal with one week left of fundraising to go.
Last year’s final amount was a little over $6700 and this year they almost doubled that amount.
Bennett says the final amount collected was $12,312.14. He wants to remind those that donated that all of the funds will stay for programs in Washington County.
