Thursday is the last day for donations to the Mitten Tree in the Washington Public Library.  Library Director Debbie Stanton says they are taking donations of new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks to be given to a local charity to give to adults and children in need for the winter.

She says they have a goal to fill one Christmas tree with these items.  Stanton says this was started by Leann Kunz who would knit mittens and then donate them.

The last day donations are being accepted is tomorrow and if you would like more information regarding the Mitten Tree, contact the Washington Public Library.
