A Washington High School student who has a top honor in music will be performing in Ames later this week.  Keri Murphy, a Junior at the high school has been awarded the honor of All-State Musician.  Murphy is the daughter of Bruce and Jane Murphy of Washington.

She is the principal clarinet in the high school band and studies privately with Dr. Jason Edwards at Iowa Wesleyan College.  Murphy will be performing with the All-State Band at the annual All-State Music Festival in Ames later this week.
